A local nonprofit is answering drivers' calls for help navigating the Revive I-5 project, as conditions surrounding the Ship Canal Bridge have caused congestion. The nonprofit Commute Seattle launched a Commuter Hotline pilot program urging people to "ditch the solo drive" through the project that currently has northbound I-5 over the bridge reduced to two lanes for repair work. Commute Seattle's transportation specialists like Elizabeth said they encourage callers to try public transit, then walk them through other options like bike routes or carpooling.
